Subsidies for photovoltaic self-consumption, battery storage and renewable thermal systems for the Balearic Islands, corresponding to incentive programmes financed by the European Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, are now available for application.

These grants are aimed at individuals, SMEs, business associations, homeowners’ associations, non-profit organisations and companies, and have been distributed across three calls for applications:

• €5,621,428.71 for the business sector: for self-consumption and energy storage in the service sector, for self-consumption and storage in other productive sectors, and for the incorporation of storage in existing facilities.
• €4,871,192.01 for individuals and public administrations, which includes funds allocated for self-consumption, another for storage (batteries) and a final one for storage (batteries) in existing facilities.
• €2,305,087.63 allocated to the implementation of renewable thermal systems in the residential sector.

The amounts of the subsidies will depend on the type of call for applications chosen and the installation carried out:

Individuals

Self-consumption:

• €600/kWp for installations less than or equal to 10 kWp.
• €450/kWp for installations >10 kWp and less than or equal to 100 kWp.
• There is an increase of €55/kWp for installations in municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants.

Batteries:

• €490/kWh for battery power less than or equal to 10 kWh €350/kWh for installations > 10 kWh and less than or equal to 100 kWh.
• There is an increase of €15/kWh for installations in municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants.

Companies

Self-consumption:

• Large enterprise: 15% of eligible costs
• Medium-sized enterprise: 25% of eligible costs
• Large enterprise: 35% of eligible costs

Batteries:

• Large enterprise: 45% of eligible costs
• Medium-sized enterprise: 55% of eligible costs
• Large enterprise: 65% of eligible costs
